My name is Karen Musey and I am delighted you are here. I am Canadian and currently living in New York, and bicoastal to LA.
I am a Usui Reiki Master Teacher, a GYROTONIC® Trainer and an Artist.
I have performed around the world (www.karenmusey.com) and taught for 15+ years in a variety of movement modality and dance disciplines. A debilitating neck injury early in my career shifted my focus to holistic modalities of healing from injury, and this is where my journey with the GYROTONIC® Method began. Working through this experience presented an opportunity of how to better listen to my body and take care of myself and it is a wonderful silver lining to be able to work with others in their paths to greater ease and freedom.
I found by honoring my curiosity, having a bit of lightness and a sense of humor (!) helped softened the sharp edges of resistance to change.
I was attuned to Reiki energy in 2009 with Barb Keshen and Geordie Numata in the Usui / Tibetan Reiki Lineage. I have served as a Reiki Practitioner in New York City at the Madison Square Clinic, the free clinic for addiction at Third Root Community Center. In 2021 I was trained as an Animal Reiki Practitioner by Liliane Lukacs. I am partnered with Taking Time To Heal, a new holistic telemedicine platform. I am a registered affiliate with Reiki.org.
